As our company has grown in reputation as serving a finer product, it started out very simple. In the early 90's, Daniel Althaus began his apprenticeship by helping his stepfather, Carl E. Althaus, make name plates in his garage turned woodshop. These little jobs did more than teach him work ethic; they infected him with the love of wood. All his working life he has rendered one thing or another from wood. He found himself wanting to give more than the job at hand called for. These extras were what set him apart from the normal standard of a craftsman. He was at times frustrated that the basic idea of detail was considered to be higher end in the way of quality. To Danny, timeliness and excellent customer service was a standard, not a premium. By the time he turned thirty years old, he had decided that he could not work for any company that thought otherwise.

This business was founded on the principle that each person deserved to get exactly what they asked for and receives it in a timely fashion. To actually see the person in all the plans we build, and to leave a little of ourselves in there as well, is an accomplishment to be proud of.
